What ministries are available for me to participate in at St. Francis de Sales?
I’m not Catholic, is it okay for me to participate in communion?
Communion, or The Eucharist, is the most intimate expression of our faith. At the center of our faith, Catholics recognize the Eucharist as the true presence Christ, transformed from bread by the priest presiding over the Mass. If you are not Catholic, we ask that you not receive communion and instead use the time during communion for prayer.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you’re visiting with us, there is no expectation for you to contribute to the offering. You are welcome to give or simply pass along the basket. However, if you consider our parish your church home, we would deeply appreciate it if register through the parish and prayerfully consider giving on a weekly basis or signing up for online giving to support our parish.
How would I enroll my children in your Religious Education Program?

If night-time Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel is scheduled, then the Adoration Coordinator will email or contact those who are scheduled for adoration hours to notify them of a cancellation.

Closings for the parish office are determined on a case-by-case basis, but, in general, follow that of the Loudoun County Government for the offices and for parish facilities.

During the onset of a storm and/or predicted inclement weather, the RE Office will follow the decisions of Loudoun County Public Schools regarding schedule changes. In the days following the weather event, the RE Office will make an independent decision. Similarly, RE will also make an independent decision when only severely cold temperatures impact the schedule for Loudoun County Public Schools.
Cancellation Notifications:
All decisions regarding schedule changes are posted at Any cancellation will be posted at www.sfdscc.org and sent via Text message.
